Operations Director – Ireland (Confidential Appointment)

About the role

This senior, hands‑on Operations Director will lead national service and technical operations for a well‑established technical engineering business in Ireland. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will shape and scale the organisation, strengthen operational structures and drive performance across service, maintenance and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead national service and technical operations across Dublin and regional sites.
• Improve operational performance, structure and accountability.
• Drive KPI‑led management for service and maintenance delivery.
• Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance operations.
• Enhance utilisation, workflow efficiency and service profitability.
• Support escalation management and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Oversee operational aspects of project and installation delivery.
• Develop and lead operational managers and field teams.
• Strengthen budgeting, forecasting and cost‑control processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading field‑based operational teams in hard services FM, technical services or engineering.
• Strong KPI and performance‑management capability.
• Commercial awareness with budget or P&L responsibility.
• Track record of improving service delivery and operational structure.
• Customer‑facing leadership with a visible, accountability‑driven style.
