Paediatric Emergency Medicine Registrar – Immediate Start

About the role

Children’s Health Ireland is recruiting Registrars in Paediatric Emergency Medicine for an immediate start. The position offers 6‑ or 12‑month fixed‑term contracts with the opportunity to rotate across multiple paediatric specialties within the CHI network.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency medical care to children and adolescents across CHI sites.
• Rotate through a range of paediatric specialties to broaden clinical expertise.
• Collaborate with senior consultants, multidisciplinary teams and sub‑specialty services.
• Participate in training activities, audits and quality improvement projects.

Required profile

• Paediatric trainee with a minimum of 18 months paediatric experience, OR Emergency Medicine trainee with at least 18 months EM experience including 6 months in Paediatric Emergency Medicine or paediatrics.
• Current registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
• Valid Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification.
• Desirable: prior experience in the Irish healthcare system.
