Project Manager – Civil Utilities (Power & Water Infrastructure)

About the role

This position is with a leading civil engineering contractor in Ireland, responsible for delivering high‑profile power and water infrastructure projects. The Project Manager will oversee site activities, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a detailed baseline programme using Microsoft Project.
• Monitor progress, report to clients, and manage critical‑path delays.
• Review pricing, track internal costs, and control financial risk.
• Manage contract variations and ensure timely notices.
• Lead site personnel (Site Agent, Project Engineer, Quantity Surveyor) and supervise site operations.
• Approve monthly progress claims, RAMS, and pre‑construction health & safety documents.
• Conduct regular health & safety and quality audits.
• Liaise with clients to resolve design issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering or construction.
• Experience in utilities projects, preferably within road corridors.
• Strong knowledge of contract and commercial management.
• Full, clean driving licence.
