Quality Engineer – West Apron Vehicle Underpass (Dublin Airport)

About the role

Wills Bros is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join the delivery team for the West Apron Vehicle Underpass at Dublin Airport. You will work in a high‑security, live‑site environment, ensuring that all structural and civil works meet the highest quality, safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures across all project phases, including material testing, workmanship checks and design compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to project requirements, health‑safety protocols and quality standards.
• Identify defects promptly and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection, test and audit records and produce clear reports for project management.
• Prepare and coordinate handover documentation, supporting the delivery of the Safety File and interim handover stages.
• Support the construction team with Inspection and Test Plans, quality checklists and material approvals.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and suppliers to ensure effective communication and quality delivery.
• Act as deputy for the Quality Manager during periods of absence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of civil engineering experience with a focus on quality assurance/control, preferably on road or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and Irish construction regulations, including ISO 9001.
• Excellent problem‑solving, attention to detail and communication skills.
• Fluent English.
