Senior Engineer – Site Management (Civil & Utilities)

About the role

A Senior Engineer is needed to lead site‑based civil and utilities projects for an ESB‑related contractor in Dublin. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day site activities across multiple locations, ensuring safe and on‑time delivery in line with ESB standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations for ESB and utilities projects.
• Coordinate site managers, teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with ESB standards, permits, RAMS and health & safety requirements.
• Liaise with ESB representatives and internal project stakeholders.
• Monitor programme progress and report to senior management.
• Maintain quality standards and deliver works to specification.
• Keep accurate site records and documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant Irish construction or engineering qualification (advantageous but not essential).
• Minimum 2 years experience on ESB or utilities projects.
• Proven site‑management experience within civil or utilities works.
• Strong knowledge of ESB safety systems and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing live construction environments and subcontractor teams.
• Required certifications: Safepass, Manual Handling, Full Clean Driving licence.

What we offer

• Salary circa €65,000 – €75,000 per year, dependent on experience.
