Senior Health & Safety Advisor – Dublin

About the role

The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will lead the delivery of best‑in‑class health and safety performance across all construction projects. Based in Clonskeagh, Dublin, you will advise project teams, ensure regulatory compliance and foster a proactive safety culture with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide health and safety advice throughout all project stages and attend key project meetings.
• Liaise with client H&S representatives to meet regulatory and client‑specific requirements.
• Lead incident and accident investigations, complete root‑cause analysis and communicate lessons learned.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, audits and inspections; produce monthly H&S performance reports.
• Identify non‑conformances, drive corrective and preventive actions and close gaps.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, delivering clear feedback and improvement recommendations.
• Deliver H&S training to internal teams, contractors, schools and other external stakeholders.
• Support preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and develop safety documentation such as Safety Statements, Construction Stage Plans and Traffic Management Plans.
• Act as PSCS representative for the company and external clients when required.

Required profile

• Qualification/Diploma/Higher Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (NFQ/NVQ Level 6 or higher).
• Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and construction sector requirements.
• Proven experience in incident investigation, audit processes and delivering H&S training.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Required skills

• NEBOSH IGC or International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Train‑The‑Trainer certification.
• Manual Handling Instructor qualification.
• Fire Safety Instructor qualification.
• Incident Investigator / RCAT certification.
