Service Technician – Fire Protection Systems

About the role

Writech Fire Protection is expanding its Service Department in Mullingar and is looking for a Service Technician to join the team. The role involves on‑site inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of fire protection and sprinkler systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain and repair fire protection systems and fire‑pump engines.
• Diagnose faults on‑site and carry out corrective actions promptly.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance visits and respond to breakdowns or emergency call‑outs.
• Complete accurate digital service reports and documentation.
• Support commissioning and testing activities when required.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal engineering/project teams.

Required profile

• Mechanical or electrical background preferred.
• Experience in maintenance, repair or field‑service roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage service schedules.
• Relevant trade qualification or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Full clean driver’s licence.
