Site Manager – Steel Erection

About the role

We are partnering with a specialist steel contractor on a high‑profile new hotel development in Dublin’s city centre (Capel Street). The role offers a unique opportunity to lead all steel erection activities on a busy, constrained urban site, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of the programme.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all on‑site structural steel and steel‑frame erection works.
• Oversee crane operations, develop and execute lifting plans.
• Lead erection sequencing and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Direct steel crews, subcontractors and site logistics.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, RAMS and method statements.
• Liaise closely with client, project management and engineering teams.
• Drive progress to meet programme targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on structural steel/steel‑frame projects.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations and erection sequencing.
• Experience managing busy, constrained city‑centre sites.
• Relevant certifications such as Safe Pass, SMSTS and CSCS (or equivalent).
• Available to start in July 2026.
