Staff Nurse – Medical & Surgical Wards (Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking motivated and compassionate staff nurses to join a large teaching hospital in Dublin, delivering high‑quality care on both medical and surgical wards. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced acute care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on medical and/or surgical wards, adhering to clinical standards.
• Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and support staff to ensure coordinated treatment.
• Document patient observations, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Participate in ward rounds, handovers and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Maintain a safe and clean ward environment in line with infection‑control policies.

Required profile

• Currently PINNED with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or holding a valid NMBI Decision Letter.
• Recent clinical experience in a medical and/or surgical ward within a large acute hospital.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong commitment to patient‑centred care and clinical excellence.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
