Staff Nurse, Social Care & Support Worker – Day Services (Offaly)

About the role

The Muiriosa Foundation is seeking qualified Staff Nurses, Social Care Workers and Support Workers to join a dynamic team delivering day‑service programmes across Offaly. You will help individuals develop independent living skills, engage with the community and maintain their health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Support participants in daily activities, personal care and health monitoring.
• Promote community inclusion through outings, social events and skill‑building sessions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to create and follow personalised care plans.
• Observe and report any behaviours of concern, ensuring safety and appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to families and supervisors.

Required profile

• Relevant recognised diploma in Social Care (Level 7, CORU‑approved) or nursing qualification (RNID/General/Mental Health, NMBI‑registered).
• Registration with CORU (or in process) for social care candidates.
• Valid manual driving licence for travel within the county.
• Experience working with people who have diverse support needs, including behaviours of concern.
• Ability to work independently, plan effectively and use basic IT tools (email, word processing, care systems).
