Town Planner

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Town Planner to join our growing Environment & Planning team in Dublin. You will work on a variety of high‑profile infrastructure projects, supporting sustainable development across sectors such as water services, renewables, ports, aviation and climate‑change resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate planning applications, pre‑planning consultations, and respond to further information requests.
• Manage planning appeals, third‑party appeals and compliance submissions.
• Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, Strategic Environmental Assessments and related planning reports.
• Review Appropriate Assessments, including Screening Reports and Natura Impact Statements.
• Liaise with statutory bodies, local authorities, government agencies and An Coimisiún Pleanála.
• Organise and manage sub‑consultants and specialist surveys.
• Provide expert planning advice to internal engineers and external clients.
• Contribute technical input to environmental assessment projects, including data collection and analysis.

Required profile

• At least 3 years post‑qualification experience in consultancy or the public sector.
• Strong understanding of planning legislation and processes in Ireland.
• Proven ability to work on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
