Director, Business Development – Services Ireland

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director of Business Development for its Services division in Ireland. You will be at the forefront of driving demand for Mastercard Services, partnering with solutions experts to deliver consulting, loyalty, data‑driven platforms and cyber‑security solutions to clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large consulting programmes, coordinating internal stakeholders and client teams.
• Engage senior client executives to uncover new commercial opportunities.
• Identify client pain points, root causes and propose tailored solutions.
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to crafting persuasive proposals.
• Manage end‑to‑end contract execution, working with legal, finance and other internal functions.
• Collaborate with Mastercard account managers to surface and develop new business opportunities.
• Build effective relationships across all management levels within client organisations.
• Ensure alignment among Mastercard stakeholders and manage cross‑functional dependencies.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree required; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience delivering results in consulting or a niche consultancy, preferably within financial services strategy or insights.
• Proven track record of leading end‑to‑end consulting engagements and driving business growth.
