About the role
We are looking for a part‑time Scanning Operator to ensure our store’s scanning systems run smoothly and deliver accurate, timely information to management. You will play a key part in maintaining product data integrity and supporting daily store operations.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the store’s scanning systems efficiently at all times.
- Uphold Centra brand values – Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community‑Based.
- Maintain the accuracy of product information and pricing.
- Print daily reports, analyse them and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Manage pricing and set‑up in‑store promotions.
- Perform daily system backups and verify correct cost prices against local suppliers.
- Understand how the scanning role impacts overall store performance.
- Attend required training and apply new knowledge on the shop floor.
Required profile
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize customer needs.
- Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible.
- Self‑motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
- Previous customer‑service experience is an advantage.
