Site Asset Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to take charge of site‑wide asset management in a large‑scale manufacturing operation. The role focuses on equipment reliability, operational performance and continuous improvement, providing a high‑visibility platform to shape long‑term engineering and maintenance strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and engineering activities across the site to maximise equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
• Develop proactive maintenance strategies centred on reliability, performance and reduced downtime.
• Manage and mentor maintenance technicians and engineering support teams.
• Drive preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives for plant equipment and infrastructure.
• Support breakdown response, fault diagnosis and root‑cause investigations.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, maintenance performance and operational output.
• Oversee maintenance planning, spare‑parts control and contractor coordination.
• Support engineering improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, downtime trends and reliability metrics.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety, regulatory and operational standards.
• Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives across maintenance and production.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading maintenance or engineering operations in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and production systems.
• Experience managing technical teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Deep knowledge of preventative maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving capability with a results‑oriented approach.
• Engineering qualification, apprenticeship or relevant technical background (advantageous).
