Senior Legal Counsel – Regulatory Legal

About the role

Apple’s Products & Regulatory Legal Group is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert regulatory guidance across its global product portfolio. The role works closely with engineering, operations, government affairs and marketing teams to navigate emerging EU digital regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the applicability of EU regulations such as the Data Act, AI Act, Cyber Resilience Act, NIS 2, Digital Fairness Act and Digital Networks Act to Apple products and services.
• Coordinate and, when needed, lead engagements with regulatory authorities across the EMEIA region.
• Collaborate with other Apple legal groups, government‑affairs, and cross‑functional business and engineering teams.
• Advise senior management on risk allocation, mitigation strategies, business decisions and policy development.

Required profile

• 5‑8+ years of experience handling EU privacy, data, AI, cybersecurity or other digital regulations in a law firm, in‑house legal department or regulatory authority.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build relationships with executive leadership and cross‑functional partners.
• Strong analytical mindset, creative problem‑solving and the capacity to manage a high volume of projects.
• Self‑starter attitude, curiosity about technology and comfort in a fast‑moving environment.
